First Leadership Cayman Opening Retreat facilitated virtually
The 2021 Leadership Cayman class started their personal development in January as they acquired new problem-solving skills at an opening retreat held at The-Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman on January 29 and 30, 2021.
First launched in 2009, Leadership Cayman is a six-month programme that enables participants to acquire an in-depth view of social, economic, business, and political issues; enhance their leadership skills; and to get involved in community projects.
The annual opening retreat gives the class members an opportunity to develop their skills and work together as a team before the series of bi-weekly seminars begins.
Dr. Peter Hammerschmidt, an expert in leadership, problem-solving and teamwork, with three decades of experience, facilitated the retreat. The class engaged in numerous challenges and team-building exercises during the two-day retreat and will use their new skills throughout the programme.
The first seminar of the programme is scheduled for Wednesday, February 10, 2021, where the class will be taking a closer look at ‘The Environment.’
